Terror strikes karachi, 29 dead

On june 9 terrorist attacked on karachi airport. The tehreek-e-taliban pakistan has claimed the responsibilty for the attack. They said the attack was carried out to avenge the killing of former TTP chief Hakimullah mehsyd in US drone strike.
After a 13 hour intense gun battle , the brazen attack on karachi international airport by taliban millitants disguised as security forces ended on monday, leaving 29 people dead, including all the 10 terrorists.

A Tragic day in the life of Vignana Jyothi Engineering college

A tragic incident took place with the students of city's VNR vignana jyothi engineering college students and staff whoi were on a vacation Himachal Pradesh. Tragic incident took place in the waters of the Beas river, in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district. 24 lives had been lost in this tragic incident.
Here are the statements of the students who witnessed the incident:

Suharsha, student who survived the deadly deluge said: We were all on a rock taking taking photos and when the floodgates opened, that rock was submerged within the seconds. We had absolutely no idea what hit us. A friend and i managed to pull ourselves out but our efforts to pull out our friends failed.

The incident could have been reverted if the people would have been informed about the timing the dam gates open. and if an alarm or any indication would have been set up to warn the people to move away when the dam gates were to be opened.

May the people who lost their lives let their souls be rest in peace.
